Privacy Policy
Last updated November 2025
This policy explains what information Jacksonville Dock Builder collects through jacksonvilledockbuilder.com, why we collect it and what we do with it.
Information you give us
When you submit the estimate form or the project brief builder, we collect the details you enter. That typically includes:
- Your name, phone number and email address
- The city and ZIP code of the property
- Details about the project — type, dimensions, waterway, existing structure, boat information, materials, access and timing
- Any photographs or documents you choose to attach
- Your preferred contact method and, if you provide them, budget and timeline
Information collected automatically
Alongside what you type, each submission records context that helps us understand where an enquiry came from:
- The page you submitted from and the page you first landed on
- The date and time of submission
- The referring website, where one exists
- Campaign parameters in the URL (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content and gclid), where present
Campaign parameters are stored in your browser's session storage so that an enquiry sent from a later page still carries the campaign that brought you to the site. That storage is cleared when you close the tab.
How we use it
We use your information to respond to your enquiry, prepare an estimate, carry out work you ask us to carry out, and keep records of the projects we have quoted and completed. We also use aggregate traffic and submission data to understand which parts of the site are useful.
Who receives it
Your enquiry goes to one marine contractor — the one who would build your project. We do not sell, rent or share enquiries with lead networks, directories, contractor marketplaces or third-party advertisers.
The only third parties that process your data are the service providers that make the site work:
- Netlify hosts the website and processes form submissions on our behalf.
- Google Analytics provides aggregate traffic measurement, where enabled. It does not receive the contents of your form submissions.
We may also disclose information where we are legally required to do so.
Cookies and similar technologies
This site uses session storage to retain campaign parameters during your visit, as described above. Where analytics is enabled, Google Analytics sets its own cookies to measure traffic. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site works without them.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry records for as long as needed to respond, carry out any resulting work, and meet our record-keeping and legal obligations. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
Your choices
You can ask us to provide a copy of the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. You can also ask us to stop contacting you. Contact us using the details below and we will act on it.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS and form submissions are transmitted encrypted. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we do not claim that it is. Please do not send sensitive personal information — financial account details, government identification numbers — through the forms on this site.
Children
This site is intended for property owners and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page.
